THIS IS COREY HELLER
Graduate Animation Student
Corey Heller (he/him) is an animated arts graduate with a bachelor's degree. Corey won an Honorable Mention Award for his junior short film Cold War at the 2022 Student World Impact Film Festival.
As a BFA graduate, I am looking forward to being able to find career opportunities that will help develop and improve my skills as a member of the animation community.
The process of coming up with ideas and bringing them to life gives me the greatest satisfaction and encourages me to keep innovating. After each long production comes the culminating moment: where I get to see audience reactions that mean the world to me. If you’d like to interview me for work, you can contact me by email.
2022
Honorable Mention award film I made in my junior year. It is about a war between penguins and reindeer. While the film itself is a satire of Vietnam war films from the 1970s, it can also be seen as a response to the war in Ukraine.
2023
My thesis film based on my life growing up with Autism. The main character is an alien who is a visual metaphor of how I felt as a child. The message of this film is to not judge others based on differences.
